RHDV2 Confirmed in Kansas

In July 2022, Rabbit Hemorrhagic Disease virus Type 2 (RHDV2) was detected in a domestic rabbit from Leavenworth County, Kansas. No specifics have been provided at this time. All available information can be found on the Kansas Department of Agriculture website.

At this time, the KDA Division of Animal Health is not recommending any cancellation of rabbit shows or fairs, but is strongly encouraging enhanced biosecurity efforts for rabbit shows.
