New Florida Case – Palm Beach County

On May 27, 2022, the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (FDACS) was
notified that a single domestic rabbit residing in Palm Beach County had tested positive for
Rabbit Hemorrhagic Disease Virus, Type 2 (RHDV-2). The premises had no other animals. This
is the third confirmed case of RHDV-2 in domestic rabbits in Florida and the first case of this
year. There have been no detections in wild rabbits in the state. Additional information here.
